Privacy Policy
What LinkTrack collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have.
Who This Policy Covers
- Account holders who sign up for LinkTrack.
- Visitors to linktrack.in and its free tools.
- People who click short links created by LinkTrack customers. For those clicks, the customer who created the link decides why the link is used; LinkTrack processes the click on their behalf.
What Data We Collect
- Account information: email address, name and the profile or company details you enter.
- Links and campaigns: destination URLs, short codes, UTM tags, campaign names, folders and tags you create.
- Link-click data: when someone clicks a short link we record the time, IP address, an approximate city, state and pincode looked up from the IP address, device type, browser, operating system, network provider and referring website. A more precise location is recorded only if the visitor allows location access in their browser on links that ask for it.
- Lead data: details a visitor types into a lead form on a customer's link. The customer who created the form controls it.
- Payments: payments are processed by Razorpay. We store the order and payment reference, plan, amount and status. Card, UPI and bank details are entered with Razorpay and are not stored by LinkTrack.
- Contact enquiries: the details you submit through our contact form.
- Support chat: messages you type into the Ask AI assistant are sent to an AI model provider to generate replies.
Cookies and Your Consent
We use two kinds of browser storage (cookies and similar local storage):
- Essential — always on: keeping you signed in, security checks, remembering your cookie choice, and dashboard preferences such as the sidebar and theme. The site cannot work properly without these.
- Optional website analytics — only after you accept: a random visitor ID (not your name or email), a per-tab session ID, and a record of your first visit (landing page, referring website name and any UTM tags in the address).
Until you press Accept, no optional analytics is sent and no analytics IDs are stored. If you press Reject, optional analytics stays off.
You can change your choice at any time. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops immediately and the visitor ID and first-visit record are removed from your browser. Events already sent before you withdrew are kept as described under “Retention and Deletion”; you can ask us to delete them.
Your current choice on this browser: Not chosen yet (analytics off)
Short-link pages and customers' own branded domains do not run LinkTrack website analytics. Customers can add their own Facebook Pixel or Google Analytics to their links; that tracking is controlled by the customer and those providers.
Website Analytics and Campaign Attribution
If you accept analytics, we record these steps so we can see which pages, sources and free tools bring people to LinkTrack:
- Visits and traffic source: the page you landed on, the referring website's name (for example google.com), any UTM tags, and a source category such as search, AI assistant, social, email, ads or direct.
- Free tool use: that you opened a tool, generated a WhatsApp link, downloaded a QR code or generated a UTM link, and which tool it was.
- Pricing interest: viewing the pricing page and pressing an upgrade button.
- Signup attribution: if you create an account in the same browser within 7 days of that first visit, we link your account to the first visit's landing page, source, UTM tags and first free tool used.
Each step is counted once per browsing session to avoid duplicates.
Account, Checkout and Payment Events
To measure how accounts grow, our servers record when an account is created, its first short link and first campaign, when checkout starts, when a payment is completed and when a plan is renewed. These come from your account and payment records, not from browser analytics, so they are recorded whether or not you accepted analytics cookies. Payment confirmations come from Razorpay's signed payment notifications or signature-checked checkout responses.
What We Never Collect in Analytics
- Passwords.
- WhatsApp messages, or phone numbers typed into the WhatsApp tool.
- Website addresses or text typed into free tools.
- Contents of forms.
- Card, UPI or bank details.
- IP addresses. An IP address is used only briefly to block abusive request volumes and is not saved with analytics events.
Who Can See Your Data
- You: your own links, clicks, leads and reports.
- Your agency: if an agency created your account, that agency can see usage summaries for it (links created, monthly clicks and last sign-in).
- LinkTrack administrators only: website analytics, signup attribution and conversion reports. Customers and support staff cannot open these reports.
- Service providers that run parts of the service for us: hosting and database, Razorpay for payments, an IP location lookup service for click locations, and an AI model provider for the support chat.
Access rules in our database keep each account's links, clicks and leads separate. All connections to LinkTrack use encrypted HTTPS.
How We Use Data
- To provide link tracking, analytics dashboards and reports.
- To run your account, billing and plan limits.
- To detect fraud, abuse and security threats.
- To understand which pages, sources and tools bring customers, using the analytics described above.
- We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising targeting.
Retention and Deletion
We have not yet set fixed retention periods. Data is kept while your account is active, until you delete it, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Delete your account from Settings to permanently remove your account, links (with their click history), leads, bio pages, reports, domains and subscription records.
- Website analytics and payment records linked to your account are not removed automatically by account deletion. Email us to ask for analytics records to be deleted. Payment records may need to be kept for accounting.
- Analytics from browsers that never signed in is linked only to a random visitor ID. Clearing your browser storage or withdrawing consent removes that ID from your browser.
Your Choices
- Cookie choice: accept or reject optional analytics, and change it at any time with “Cookie settings”.
- Access and correction: view and update your profile and links from your dashboard.
- Export: download click and lead data as CSV or PDF reports.
- Deletion: delete your account from Settings, or email us for anything account deletion does not cover.

Your Data, Your Control
Optional analytics only with your consent. Your data is never sold.
