Printing tips

Print at least 2 cm × 2 cm; bigger for posters read from a distance.
Keep a dark code on a light background with a clear margin around it.
Add a short call to action next to it, such as "Scan for today's menu".

Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code generator free?

Yes. Static QR codes are free, need no account and have no watermark. Tracked QR codes need a free LinkTrack account, which includes 10 links and 1,000 tracked clicks a month.

What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?

A static QR code contains your web address itself, so it can never change and nobody can count scans. A dynamic (tracked) QR code contains a short link; the short link records each scan and then opens your page, and you can change the destination later without reprinting.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG (1024 × 1024 pixels) is best for social media, WhatsApp status and slides. SVG is a vector file for printers and designers — it stays sharp on posters, banners and packaging of any size.

Do static QR codes expire?

No. A static QR code works as long as the web address inside it works. A tracked QR code works while its LinkTrack link is active.

Can I make a QR code for WhatsApp?
