Frequently asked questions

How do you track QR code scans?
The QR code opens a short tracked link instead of your page directly. Each scan passes through the link, which records the time, device and approximate location before sending the visitor on to your page.
Can I change where a tracked QR code goes after printing?
Yes. With a LinkTrack tracked link you can edit the destination at any time; the printed QR code stays the same.
Is the QR code generator free?
Yes. Making and downloading a plain QR code is free without an account. Tracking scans needs a free LinkTrack account (10 links and 1,000 tracked clicks a month).
How accurate is the scan location?
City and state come from the visitor's network and are approximate. Pincodes are an approximate area hint unless the visitor shares GPS location.
Do QR codes expire?
A plain QR code never expires because it contains the link itself. A tracked QR code works as long as its LinkTrack link is active.
